Pain, Performance

& Injury Clinic

Combining various modalities & techniques to assess and address the cause of pain, not the symptoms, whether of an acute or chronic nature.

When an injury occurs, whether as a result of direct trauma; work, sport or stress related; repetitive movements; your body, to protect itself and keep it functioning to the best of its ability will implement compensation patterns. It does this by shutting off or inhibiting certain structures, forcing other structures to become overworked. The result of this is pain, discomfort, restricted movement and loss of strength and power.

By utilising various assessment protocols the therapist can evaluate which structures are shut off and which structures are overworking, revealing the sources of injury. Using a variety of techniques the therapist and client can begin retraining the client’s body and mind to remove the compensation patterns, reducing pain, improving movement and restoring a more optimal level of function to your whole system.
